Fuck me it stops now, and turns without feeling like it needs a cantilever keel. Ahoy me hearties, this ship is now on rails. Very impressed with the bilsteins so far.

Fucjed with boost control a bit. Little smoother in delivery. Dale fucked with fuel timing and it runs 100% better off idle now. Haltech support nigger is baller.

Good to hear I'm soon to get new shocks for mine.

I put new kings springs all round on my ute that made huge difference along with the biggest front sway bar I could find. Have not bothered with back one yet but can confirm power slides are easy to control.
Another thing that I have is got an old school mechanic to do the wheel alingment.

He dialed in as much castor as he could.
Coupled with the short steering (hq standard) arms and power steering makes it a pleasure to drive.

So, better brakes and better suspension have made it a better and more enjoyable car to drive?

Awesome. Catch up with me next time you're down this way and have time for a beer.

                    Hmmmm decisions, decisions.

Where is the Datto more likely to still be upon my return from enjoying a couple of beers?

Caboolture, or out the back of the Waterloo?
Might take the work van instead.

Those guys are brilliant, took maybe 3 hours with it on the hoist.

Chassis is a little bent (twisted in, but no biggy, and no cracks anywhere. Just a rail has twisted in a touch).
Aligned it absolutely brilliantly, these guys are so meticulus it'd be painful if you were someone with somewhere to go. Luckily I am not.

But not only that, disassembled half of the front end to check all the work I did, even adjusted the tie rods so they were dead even threads as one had about 3 threads more engaged than the other end. Super anal stuff. Spent a bit of time talking about what to do to make it a little more 'car' like, settled on 27mm solid front sway bar but takwith big thick bushes so it has some compliance before it takes up. Rear end is getting the leaves reset, with a stiff front upper leaf to help stop the leaf bind.

I couldnt recommend these guys highly enough, and to top it off he refused when I offered him double what he asked. Nowhere should charge out two blokes at $40 an hour, but he wouldn't take it. Stunning service, great shop, good to talk to etc. It's a bit out of the way but definitely worth a trip for anyone with an old car.

Turns out my shifter cable is melted. Need to buy a new one and re-think how the hell it's run as it was on the exhaust in two places. Explains why it wouldnt ratchet in to first when cold.

Yes that is another thing i forgot about.

Leave them tight and it under-steers quiet badly ask me how i know :knock:

I left mine set at just touching on the nolathane bushes so it comes in more progressively and could not be happier.

That spring bind has me interested as mine will sometimes diff hop.
