They could be made out of basically one piece each instead of bits and pieces, more likely to get scrutineer approval that way too.

I'd want 5 or 6mm alloy. 3mm steel would maybe be ok...

We just made them up from what was lying around. Fucking side mounts.... My old bottom mount Velo was so easy to install. I just drilled out the Oem holes in the floor, put studs in the rear 2 holes, nuts and large washers underneath. For the front I made brackets, and bolted them in. Was quick and cheap. The seat also sat lower.

What fucking luck to get a clutch like this. Did less than 150km's and turned to dust. Wasted entry to Phillip Island, towing it back, and having to buy a new clutch plus labour to pull the box. And the flywheel looks like toast too. Cars....

The new clutch finally arrived. A little concerned that the locating dowels are smaller than the holes. So it might not be centred 100%. I had to degrease and hose out the bell housing.
The gear bag is back on. Will need another hour to finish the job, starter motor, PPF, tail shaft, etc needs to be bolted back on.
Hopefully I don't have to remove the gearbox again for some time.

It was actually an XTD clutch sorry. Stay away!!

New clutch is in, and it drives fine. Can feel no vibrations, and it doesn't slip. Finally a break...
I need to make a battery isolator, the battery keeps going flat as the car isn't driven enough.

On another note, I am going to redo the side window on the fastback. Due to the black "trim" on the bottom edge looking awkward. I am going to make it longer. One pic is showing how much is going to be cut out, the other what it will look like when done. I was watching a late model Porsche 9## drive past on centre rd and noticed the side window profile looks stretched compared to the older models. So, it should look a bit sleeker, and hide the black "trim".

Nice! A lot of cars have a fade from black on the edges of the back windows, it could be worth looking at something like that to break up the sharp edges.
