Hairdressing Apprenticeship - The second year

I sold my Red NA6 as it didn't let me carry the dogs if/when I wanted.
So I bought the WRX Hatch.
It was a good reliable, useful, capable and somewhat powerful car.

But being a second car that I would use for taking the Dogs around and fun, it only really performed the dog duties part. Was not fun in anyway.

    So I sold it.
I did a little research to find something that could do both.
    Cheap, Light, seats 4, FUN.

RS172 or 182 Clio was the clear winner. They are cheap, they are fun, handle well, chuckable, and can carry more than 1 passenger.
Had someone from the local RS club let me look one over and take me for a drive and let me drive it.
    I was hooked.

But buying one that wasn't a cluster fuck proved much too hard.
And after some time of being a little Emo, I realised that I don't give all that many fucks for the CX5 we have, and that the dogs can go in there on the rare occasion that they need to.

    so....

    2001 model
    VVT motor
    6 speed
    LSD
    15" Enkie RPF1 with Kumhos
Apart from that it's still all Standard.

5.5 hours spent on the paint so far.

Purchased a bunch of maintenance/service stuff to do.
    And an exhaust to fit.

Will get suspension and Rollbar and possibly fixed back seat.

Did a damp Glorious/Nebo drive and the joy for driving came back immediately.

    Fabulous!

    Very cool indeed.
I still reckon they are way too cramped for my lifestyle though.

Out of interest, what part did you find a cluster fuck when shopping for the Renault? Finding an unabused example?

They were either cheap and really shit or way over priced.

Then seeing the shit that old mate on this forum went through with his "full service history, always cared for" clio kind of sealed the deal.
Not only that, when you go to one make forums and see peoples build threads, it seems like the clio is the 300zx of the fwd world.
So much shit needs to be removed before doing simple things in the engine bay... and for a numpty like me it was too fucking difficult.
I stood in front of one to see how to remove the oil filter and tried to imagine how many places I'd need to break my hand to get to it.

Don't get me wrong, there are people on RS forum who mercilessly thrash high km ones at the track and not have issues, but I still couldn't do it.

Should be plenty of room in that for your little handbag dogs.

        Don't mention the adBlocker !!

I'm not sure if you realize but you have the same car as before.

Excellent choice, but then I would say that. Looks like a nicely cared for example as well.

Did you happen to look at the blue 182 that's currently on carsales? I keep checking every so often to see if it's still there but I haven't been to look at it yet. Wondering if it's one of the cluster fucks...

                  No I didn't.
But that's been for sale around $9K for many many months... MANY

Now at $6.5K it "seems" like a good buy.

Having endured TT's buying cycle to eventually end up with this vehicle, all I can say is, thank fuck he likes it. So far. What a miserable brown cunt he was.
