Congratulations you're on a winner there. I passed spanners and drank a mates beer while he did a 1J swap on one of these 15yrs ago. We couldn't keep it cool without removing the A/C but fuck bang for buck it was so much fun. Still regret not buying it off him.

This is more 80's porn than I can deal with right now.

only changes i'd make are something a little less bogan for the gauges, lose the turbo timer? and fit cruise control.

First "mod" is already done, I put the stock steering wheel back on.

I think I will remove the stereo setup as it has dated quite badly and tbh I don't really listen to music in the car its some of the only alone time I get these days so I like to relax and just drive. So putting the stock setup back in , remove/relocate the gauges which I think are mechanical units anyway, but I will keep the boost gauge where it is and have the rest stock to give a little bit away should anyone look.

As to engine wise, fixing the ISCV (idle up/solenoid) is a must especially when I get the AC regassed and new plugs/coil packs as I took a look yesterday and they are still the original units so well and truly past their used by date, many many options to choose from in replacing them though, yellow jackets for $400 or new OEM ones for $98 from the UAE or a conversion to 1nz COP setup for $499 + what ever wiring mods need to be done to make the stock computer fire said 1nz coils.

Wheels, well I don't know yet, the gold isnt my thing but I dont know what to replace them with except USDM starion wheels, thoughts/options?

If its not missing leave the coils, they all look fucked but most seem to hold up ok till the cracks get really big.

Station wheels are an expensive option, would just get a set of stockers and have them reconditioned, they look good with the 225/45/14 or whatever tyres that go on. Little doughy handling wise but eh, cools

.......ah fuck, your 5 stud, never mind lol

Breaks up under load/boost above 4500 rpm currently and yes the cracks are rather large unfortunately.

5 stud conv means no stockies or mz12 soarer rims which would of been mint.

Supersparks or OEM coils if you want new.
Not a fan of conversions, its not like the factory coils are bad, yeah after a quarter of a century they go bad but what doesn't?

This is obviously assuming all your AUX outputs are doing something. Ie idle control, and the other does water spray, and the other updates your Instagram automatically etc.
