I've been keen to get back into an old skool Toyota but couldnt find a Celica that was value when this popped up at the right price. AE71, which are getting pretty thin on the ground these days. A series makes a twincam swap much easier.
Currently stock driveline but BC coilovers, neat interior, decent exhaust. Plans are pretty low key....4A swap of some sort, tidy up a few cosmetic issues, get the suspension working properly and just have a fun little thrasher. Biggest challenge is getting a LSD as they have a weird Borg Warner diff...might require a rear ending swap? I suspect I'll cave and stick some cooler jap wheels on it too although once the Jellybeans have been polished up I reckon they will look ok?

But, I like the fender mirrors so they will stay :p Windscreen banner has gone already. Will reinstall bumpers of some sort but not decided on which yet. What else is there to 'undo'?
). It's bolt in but still needs tweaks here and there....I'll make chassis brackets for the white line swaybar tomoz. I had a white line adjustable panard rod lying around the shed so that came in handy. I need to test fit a couple of tailshaft options I have but suspect I will need to shorten the larger single piece shaft I'd prefer to use.....and just waiting on new handbrake cables to arrive from Thailand. Chrome bumpers are also on their way. It won't be a show car but should end up looking tidy enough.
