Yeah, 24psi is enough, she's a handful, or I'm getting old. Or both. I visited 'the shed' today and tidied up so the old man could stick his ute back in the shed (it only fits in this bay).
Scott at next level motorsport is finding me a new rear subframe. The hub and driveshaft from the side that took the hit is in at a CV/driveshaft mob getting the once over, new boost and repacked wheels bearings if required. Also have two new rear shocks, so probably get the rear subframe back together the weekend after next (as whiskey night!)
Also gratuitous shot just because I'm an absolute flogger at best! :-)Originally posted by thebluerx7The fact they want to ban cash makes me want to go out and use it full time again now .

I'm working on my new garage setup!Originally posted by SugarDaddy View PostNeeds more Celica in the shot.
This now belongs to me.
What. A. Fucking. Rigmoroll. (The silver a80)
So owner lives in Canada, has kept it registered here for 5 years with his Olds, I was lucky to come across it. Anyway, he no longer has a licensed in qld, but had personalised plates (which he's keeping) and I had personalised plates on order.
So cue me sweet talking PPQ to advance up the queue, I received my plates. We'd done the send paperwork internationally and both counter signed. Sweet. He'd signed the remove plates form.
So I rock up, 11ty forms in hand on the only day I could get off work.
Step 1. Remove plates form. Scowling over the counter old mate TMR rep says "Sir, how do i know this is old mate's signature, did you fill out this form?" . Yes I filled it out, it's a remove and attach form. "Sir but you are not the registered operator.." he leaned back with a look of satisfaction and went to hit the next callsign button (f363 fyi)
Aha I expected this, so allow me to progress to
Step 2. I proceed him my transfer of ownership form and say , "if you'd be so kind as to make me the registered operator of my new car, then we can progress back to step 1 and I can sign of behalf of the original owner and remove his plates from my new car"
Eyes rolling back in his head he says "I'll have to check with my manager..."
Awesome thanks
Comes back, accusatory tone on, "are you driving this car sir?" Smiling I say Yes I am and think about adding you fucking inbred retard
"Well you shouldn't, the owner is going to have to come and clear this up in person."
Step 3: negotiation 101. Ok well, see he lives in Canada. "Well we need to see his license". He doesn't have a licence, as he lives in Canada, but his old license number is blah blah, can't you look it up? "No" why not?! "I can but I can't see the pictures". Why do you need to see the pictures? (Cunt!!??!!##@@#***)
"Because I need to check he actually signed this, and I don't have clearance to see his old signature."
So what should i do?
"Let me go see my manager"
"He'll have to come in, or send us a copy of his qld license, or his passport."
Well he's asleep, so this is now going to mean I run out of time on my transfer paperwork..."that's cool, there's no fine..."
Fuck. Me.
Anyway, a third visit later we finally got all the signatures in the right places, enough checks to satisfy a US congressional security clearance level red, and car is in my name.
Step 11ty. Affix plates form.
Finally.
Thank fuck that's over with!Originally posted by thebluerx7The fact they want to ban cash makes me want to go out and use it full time again now .

No the problem was it had personalised plates which he was keeping. So the steps wereOriginally posted by damian View Postpoor cunt. In SA you just sign a stat dec saying you got the car legitimately and bang, done.
the loophole is it has to be outta rego.
need owners sig if it has rego.
rego doesn't prove ownership - in SA at least.
1. Remove plates
2. Attach new plates
3. Transfer ownership
It wouldn't have been an issue except that his signature wasn't on the attach form and I couldn't transfer ownership until they had the remove form and a car can't have two sets of plates 'attached' in there system.
Dunno if same in SA but was a rigmaroll! They were good in the end, the manager allowed me to have him email (from whistler where he was snowboarding) and say it was all ok and accepted that (along with everything else!)
Brothers proper now! HahaOriginally posted by thebluerx7The fact they want to ban cash makes me want to go out and use it full time again now .
