Vs Barra ute

Great to see you cracking on with progress, Dale.

I was talking to Jason from Muscle Garage about the Barra VS ute he's building at the moment - he said his VK 6cyl radiator went straight in, bolted up to factory mounts. He was saying it is one of the easiest engine conversions he has ever done - easier than pretty much any LS into VB-VS Commo!

Yeah, i speak to him a fair bit. That rad sat higher than mine. End of the day both cost similar and had similar amount of fabrication.

But yeah, surprisingly not that bad. Maybe ask me after the wiring. Lol

Intercooler and intake piping all done. Made up a tool to do something similar to a bead rolled edge, came out ok. BOV was plumbed back into the intake pipe and MAP welded into hotside of cooler piping. Fits nice and neat under front bar. I even painted the cooler

It has 14psi actuator already installed and will have a base tune when ecu comes back from being unlocked

Work been insane this week so haven't had energy to work on car.

I have picked up some 15x4 interceptors and they are getting tyres atm

Have also been looking thru the Barra wiring diagrams to get my head around what is needed.

Been fucked around by torqueline parts with sway bar, should of been here 2 weeks ago, keep getting lied to. Mondeo fans should be here any day

After crazy week at work finally got to work on ute. Fans took a bit of trimming to fit nicely but came up a treat, 8mm clearance on tensioner pulley. Sorted out the spaghetti of heater hoses. Pulled the tank and replaced the in-tank pump with a Walbro 460 lph unit. Then discretely mounted a boost guage in cabin. Also took off the Ecotec badges, need to replace with something
