    🤣🤣

What a cunt of things cars can be.

I forgot to post this before, the only park left had me next to an 850R, interesting seeing them side by side.

So on my list of what maybe causing this thing to randomly lose power and or stall and not re-start was the cam and crank position sensors.

I spoke with the guys at GLT in capalaba who are the local volvo specialists and Steve there told me that it's not often the crank angle sensor that fails but that the cam sensor does. At $200 plus its not cheap but should be an easy fitments.

It's pretty easy to get to as well, just pull the airbox out and it's a t40 torx screw. Had to use the rattle gun she was in tight.

    🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

    Probs my stalling issue

After a much longer than anticipated time I removed enough black goo of shitless to allow the plug to plug in. This can all get repaired and replaced but for now I need this shitbox back running.

ID:	7274437 and with the cps off there's oil in the sensor seating housing. This is apparently from the hall sensor backing seal so I'll need to order one of those in and get to it next.

And all back together. Hasn't stumbled, missed or stalled yet and I've done about 100kms of coke and hooker deliveries this Saturday night.

Now that we're all on the same page, this has annoyed me almost as much as this things tendency to stall and not restart in peak hour traffic in the middle of intersections due to an as yet undiagnosed interruption to the vroom vroom go forwards or backwards ya fucker machine.

Now you don't always need a special tool but when it comes to things Swedish it's best approached with a degree of humility, one which starts with $ bills and ends with no damage to the windscreen or plastics and generally makes life easier. You know, like Ikea....

They seem to multiply when you park them.

Click image for larger version Name:	20210619_165034.jpg Views:	11 Size:	2.82 MB ID:	7265773Then after Sketchy 40th I took this out to skid control event at lakeside in Brisbane today with @Jasonbroadhurst @taijohnson and lukevl. Its a pretty well run event and I wasn't sure how the Volvo would go. There were a bunch of focus rs out there, which are basically a volvo anyway 😆.

After checking the tyres for damage, checking and setting the tyre pressures using a tyre pressure gauge 30psi in the rear and 28psi in the front, brimming the tank, checking the battery was secure, and then the corner weighting scales awaited. Then, after removing seats, spare tyres, tool kits and other odds and sods the corner weights beckoned again. A quick wipe over to ensure the paint gleamed, some octopus grip for the tyres and a whack of tyre shine to look spot on in the line up, it was almost time to go, well, that's how everyone else started..

Click image for larger version Name:	20210627_182620.jpg Views:	11 Size:	510.4 KB ID:	7265775

I rocked up late, quick pen mark on the side window, and 30 seconds after checking my forms I was in the line up.

And There were a number of other volvos there too. All blue though...

This 2wd manual focus rs was about 2 - 4 seconds quicker than me across the daythethe 4wd ones, steered very well too were 8 - 10 seconds over a 1 mjn approx course.

I found the bonnet up process quite useful as a sunshade for the winter sun and to keep the heat out of the bay. First gear was all that was needed or about 60-70kmh. First took a hammering but I was within 1/2 a second of a turbo mx5 and was battling with a Suzuki gti, barina gsi (corsa) and some other interesting machinery all on what are probably akin to bob James allrounders!!! The abs sensor I damaged pulling a strut out means I have no abs now, unbeknowst to em and much to the organisers dismay on my first lap when I triggered the sound limit with a cool skid..... oops, add that to the list.
    Will upload some videos after.

And a link to 2 laps:

500kms today through scenic rim to Lismore and back.

I'm liking this fucking thing. Had a run with an n/a xr6 ute and pasted him by 2 carlengths up the on ramp to 100ish, then after a meeting down there I came back via the m1 and was dicing with an xr6 turbo and some liberty thing. Saab-volvo does surprising things!

My XC60 is the D5 Polestar. Certainly is entertaining, but the V60 is what I really wanted

T5-R was the previous model I believe, the 850. The V70R is a fair bit different, AWD, moar power, big brakes, better suspension.
