It might be missing from these photos but is there any extra bracing on the banana back part of the new tray to stop it snapping off when you lever the weight of a car on it? Assuming the leading edge will be bolted or welded to the end of the chassis somehow.

Another crossmember 50 x 50 x 3 angle has been added to brace the banana. The wheels don't sit on the banana when transporting only on and off. Banana'd car floats don't have any added means of support.

Was supposed to make ramps today but I'm going to use my car float ones next week and going to buy some alloy atv style ones. I'm thinking I'll need 400kgish ones

Ive got alloy painters planks for my car trailer with hooks welded to the end. Flexes like crazy but light as a feather and perfect for my application (not heavy cars).

Yeah, I was looking at bunnings scaffolding (250kg rating) and thinking of bracing it with a 1m piece of 50 x 50 x 2.5 angle

Take one end off the alloy planks and rivet a box section up the inside guts. I did this with mine and then angled the other end and welded it up so it sits more flush with the ground. Came up a treat and minimised the flex.

Me too. Drives mint too. The extra wheelbase really softened up the ride

Very cool! Very jealous of the lifestyle change you've made, well done. Hopefully it's not all on credit and actually do able.
