It looks like that expensive padding isn't UV rated. Bit of black boot polish will fix it- Fastest Indian style.

What happened is my slow build got sped up by about 6 months or probably more like 12 months.

I hooked up the trailer and picked the car up tonight. He had so much gear I struggled to fit it in. The wagon was full, as was the MX5. I will take it to Phillip Island in December for the next club sprint round. But might be able to squeeze in a day before that to see what it can do.

I was trying to clean up the garage and figured instead of putting the Recaro seat that came with the car in storage, I could bolt it in the car. How hard could it be, the guy had already had it in previously?
I bolted it in as is, and it actually sat higher than the stock seat. So an hour or so later it's in and a lot lower. The sliders are gone, the spacers are gone and I drilled new lower holes in the side mounts and cut the metal from where it was hitting the bottom of the seat. The harness is in now too, but I will remove it again until I go to the track now that's it adjusted.
I have been driving it when I can, it's nice to have a manual car on the street. Pity Holden didn't make a manual in the VF wagons :/

The A050's got stripped off the Enkei's and I had them sandblasted. The sandblasting was a little too aggressive and had a pitted finish, plus there was paint that didn't come off in places. The powder coater said they would need chemical stripping, then a fine blast, then powder coat. It all sounded expensive. So I gave them a good sand and blew some black 2k over them. It came out shit. I would say it's the worst paint job I have ever done. But it looks OK in pics, that's all that matters
The car has the original clutch in it, and although it doesn't really slip, it also doesn't feel very grabby when taking off hard. So ordered a HD Exedy.
Car is looking better already with the wheels being black and lower offset. (And the new Kumho Ecsta tyres went on these rims)

Thanks, but it's not bright enough for my liking.
The new clutch and flywheel turned up yesterday thanks to Beavis Motorsport. And it's now installed. I will pick up the car tomorrow hopefully and see how it drives now that the clutch will clamp properly, and on a lighter flywheel. Nick at Lux Rcaing also swapped to diff gears to the auto ratio. I think the manual is 3.7, and the auto is 4.1. So better ratio, better clutch and lighter flywheel should make it a better drive.
                      Look Ma, no driveline..

Well I got pretty lucky, he was able to squeeze me in straight away. And after a quick chat we decided that it may as well get the full track set up. So he is corner weighting it and doing the wheel alignment and camber, castor, etc. It should be a different car to drive. Now I need to save up for some wheels and tyres for the track. Sadly, something decent will cost around $3k.

Thatís the plan, but it all takes time. Stuff is going, but need to get rid of it quicker.
