It;s not a bad idea at all.an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.Comment

Last meeting, it was too loud imo to drive around with a similar muffler in 4” and nothing past the muffler. Now it tapers to 3 1/2 and a 3 1/2 pipe to the diff. Over the weekend I hope to put some kms on it and bed in the brakes. Will know more then.

Interested to hear your thoughts after a bit of driving. My current jz exhaust is second hand 3 inch mild steel mashed together and two decent mufflers, I've been looking to re-do it, but I also don't want the car un-bearabe on the road.

At the end of the day, a 3 1/2 or 4 inch exhaust is going to be less than ideal, noise wise. A lot of this car is set up for the next motor. For the current motor, the tyres are too big, the rear gear is too tall and the converter too tight. Unless you’re after more than 6-700hp, 3 inch would be fine, preferably with two decent mufflers.I own a two and a half litre Commodore - 5.80 at 121mphComment
