My stainless 3.5" system with 2 straight thru mufflers is loud. Does alright though, made 760 rwkw thru it, lol. Need to test my 4" race side pipe which comes off the 4" dump. That's ridiculously obnoxious

Yep I can relate to building for the next motor/turbo combo..... 8sec pass and ill quit, how hard could it be to make up 0.3 of a sec?

Both of your utes are awesome by the way. I've been following both builds for quite a while.

Spoke to the tech inspector today, he wants me to run front runners as regular radials aren’t speed rated high enough, also wants an sfi flexplate

Booked in for medical on Tuesday

Redid a fair bit of the wiring today, changed out a few connectors for Deutsche ones. Redid the trans cooler lines to hug the box better so the trans blanket fits better and now I can cap the lines easier for removing the gearbox. Upped the 2 step from 4900 to 5400. Started redoing the parachute mount to pick up from more crossmembers.

          work continues

The front tyre is an interesting one. My Andra guy didn't worry when I did mine and I also checked with head ihra guy at kenda early in year at wsid and same deal. Although Paul Rogers who did my vk said go to moroso ds2's. It's probably a drag challenge car thing, with so many doing it a rag front really isn't viable

You can get I think radial moroso front runners these days. You're going to save a couple kg as well.

Just did the math on the 300lb weight loss and it came in around $9k.... sorta fails the cost/benefit analysis haha

Yeah fuck it just go to 10k on weight saving & leave it at that lol

Not quite got 100kgs out of vp shitbox but makes a surprising difference.
an easy fix is get a mate to drive in front of you at 60 then 80 then 100 and mark in on your speedo with some liquid paper.

Added a cvr vacuum switch so the brakes take care of themselves now
