I had delivery of my Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor with the Performance Pack in WA today. It was scheduled for 10am but ended up closer to 12pm due to the freeway closure this morning. The driver was nice, didn't know much about the car and apologised for the being really dirty because it had been raining all morning.

I rang the delivery specialist, went through the basics of how the car works - he was really helpful, patient and answered all my stupid questions. The car had 68% charge when it arrived so I plugged it in and went to DOTWA to get my custom plates. It's sitting on 12A charging off a 15A socket, this a default setting which can be changed I believe.

I got to check it over properly later this afternoon when the rain finally stopped. The rear seats had been laid down for some reasons and for quite a while, this had left imprints in the leather from the belt buckles, I am hoping these will fade out over a few days. On of the rear passenger seat belts was not routed correctly below the side bolster so I fixed that. Three window rubbers weren't seated correctly and there are some light/dirty fingers printers from the delivery drivers on the B pillar. All of these will be easy enough to fix when I get a chance to detail the car properly.

I took it for a good drive, put about 150km on it and wow, the power, ride comfort and sound system are amazing. Nothing prepared me for the 100% torques. Get this, because it can make so much torque instantly, the limiting factor becomes how fast you can push the accelerator down! Single foot driving is so natural after a few kms, let off the accelerator and the regen slows the car down very fast, like a medium application the brakes. I have found the steering a bit vague for the first inch of movement off centre though.

I like it alot and can't wait to start modifying it.

        LS1 conversion?

Nice buy. Hopefully whatever orgy happened inside it is worked out asap.

Sounds like you bought one with test driving one prior? Have not driven one of these but Jag's electric model, that braking once you take the foot off the accelerator is a huge shock first time!

Nice one. Will be interested to hear how it’s going after a few months ownership.

What is the price range of this model?

Awesome, someone on here has gone full electric. Look forward to updates.

The leather will pop back into shape on the first good Perth summers day.

~$100-105k plus another ~$10k for upgraded full self drive. The performance pack makes adds something like $25k

Nice! Worth the extra for that model just because of the upgrade of the aero wheels - damn they're ugly.

Just had a play around with the configurator, even a base model would be perfect for my nopics when her Lexus is due for replacement. They're estimating delivery in October, is that anywhere near realistic?

There isn’t a separate “performance pack” any more is there? The website makes it look like you pick the $100k Performance model, pick a colour, full auto-drive option if you want, and that’s about it
