Click image for larger version Name:	IMG_3855.JPG Views:	0 Size:	3.66 MB ID:	7302338 Engine and box out. Sr20vet ready. Dummy block and 300zx z32 5 speed in. Datsun/ Nissan interchangeability meant the gearbox mount holes needed elongating around 3mm. Z32 gearbox is around 11 kgs heavier but heaps stronger.
300zx tranny tunnel. will come in handy. Seats lowered around 50mm so my helmet doesn't hit headlining

Good for 10 second quarters unmodified in 300zxs. I am around 600kgs lighter than a 300zx. Around 30-40mm taller and wider. The height difference is upward out of the tunnel.

Surprisingly I didn't need to stretch the tunnel too much width wise

Alpha Omega Racing did the sr20 to z32 adapter.

Tailshaft loop and 3.5 inch lightweight alloy tailshaft will be fitted

Wiring is a mess. Found a fuse block I didn't know existed. Ken at Totally Tuned will neaten this shitfight when he fits new haltech 2500 and tunes. Aiming for 500rwhp (360-380rwkw)
Engine is built with ve head (dual lobe camshfts. Will rev to around 9300. Traction control will be hooked up.

New 6 boost low mount ceramic coated and gt3076r gen II.

I will try for 4" dump but probably only 3.5 through to rear crossmember then 3". Original dummy tailpipe will be retained

Currently has r200 vlsd from Nissan Cima. Possibly Kaaz 1.5 in the near future

Taarks SR20 to ls1 alternator is here which will allow a high amp ls1 alternator to be fitted

This will allow a 12v air con compressor to chill the w2a intercooler reservoir to hopefully reach very low IAT air temps

Taarks r35 coil kit ready to go. Taarks Hall effect sensor to replace the CAS.

Really looking forward to an extra 100rwkw and bullet proof driveline

Aiming for Sydney Powercruise in February with a track day before to sort any problems

Its been around a year and a half of getting parts. Canberra lockdown has given me a lot of time to do shit. Bit of a shame that your mighty beast has had tranny problems and we couldn't go for a sedate 1v1 cruise.

You won’t need a 4” dump for 500rwhp, maybe for double that. I think the outlet of that turbo is only 3 inch. You definitely don’t want a 3” outlet emptying into a 4” dump

Tyrie's used to having trouble with trannys.
.... because every driver experiences the destructive potential of the effortless surge of power available through the smallest of body movements.

Very open to any knowledge regarding dump pipe and exhaust size for this

If the turbo outlet is 3”, leave the dump and system at 3”, that’ll be more than enough for 500rwhp

if you want some headroom for 500rwkw+, funnel out to 3 1/2 dump and back to 3” beside the box and back

How is the gear shifter position? Looks like it is sitting pretty far back. Are you going to do anything about that?

Shifter is about 65mm further back than s13 5 speed. About right. 300zx top half of tunnel trimmed and mounted. zx shifter is offset. Last pic is shifter location
