I can neither confirm nor deny I have any part in these shenanigans. Again.

also, CA18det is a dentist so we can’t show you his face.

I like the Jaguar to Bmw adaptor kit you’re making. Prototyping with a 3D printer is cool stuff. But do you think you will ever have a need to make more than one kit? Like, is six cylinder jag engines in bmws with a six speed getrag really a thing?

Jim, let’s face it, “who won the war”. Superior engineering all the way.

So converted the Jag to use a master key…

and then took it around the block.

drives great, half way through the drive to hear a compressor and then the stiff suspension gave way and the car started riding like a sea saw. No idea what that is about, pretty sure the car doesn’t have air suspension

brakes work well, but you need to pump them up

                  but hell

we have a starting, running, steering and stopping jag

i see a lot of people complaining about the XJ40 saying it’s not a real jag, but man, I think it’s the best looking car I own.

I wonder if it had a frozen shock absorber.

Probably, it is pretty cold at the moment

Going to be much easier getting it into position to yank the motor. I’m pretty ChrisS has got the 336 badges printed for the hatch.

They've got hydraulic self leveling suspension, that's somehow tied into the brake booster. For reasons.

it's a fine day, people at their window, they leave their houses, just for a short while...

these photos are mainly ones i promised Lurch ages ago, but... tbh its been busy, shit weather, haven't had a chance until now to get the jewel of the fleet out

bought her in 2009. slowly been doing her up, returning her to stock. when i got it it was on fake BBS's (now on jonnos gemini, his username was @rotacoupe but that isn't coming up?), GAZ coilovers, big sound system, etc....

first wash in maybe 4 years?

all of the detailing guys probably cringing heh.

so anyway, it's had the motor rebuilt all to factory specs, right down to the proper single solex carb, auto choke, points ignition... all the stuff people get rid of because it sucks over the years

used all OEM parts where possible

have another set of OEM window rubbers, chrome trims etc to go in, and need some paint/rust work done, hence Lurch.

the next bunch of photos are for him, the rest of you can probably ignore... trying to send via email i have a max of 35MB which is like one photo. this is easier.

                            bonnet:

battery tray needs some love too, and i need to buy a smaller/lighter optima.

front splitter: (i hit a giant stick on the M1 coming out of gold coast one day)

                            passenger door:

                            front guards: (both somehwat similar)

                            boot area:

and the other evictee of the day:

tell you what, a british twin with shorties on it does have a distinct sound to it. raucous.

the E21 on the other hand quiet as a mouse, complete new OEM exhaust (not NOS, new) which i am quietly proud of

just needs some final motor finishing up to stop a few rattles and she should be as whisper quiet the day she left the factory in 1977.

Lovely old E21 Matt! Thanks for the photos.

Unfortunately the rust + seeing that the paint is fucked, means the whole thing now has to go back metal.
I hate to sound like a cunt, but I'm not prepared to drop my standard of work to do a patch job...
I'll touch base with you when we are closer to the drop off date.
