Its only a true PF daily if you go for the 30k option.
what about budget supercharger or turbo like the zero dollar gets?

An M90 off a wooshymoo would fit alright on the side of that wierdo slanty German valiant donk.

Because it's the smallboi 1.6, I wonder if you could make it rev to the moon. Jim was discussing turbocharging options for it when he was perusing the fine automobile...

            Each is possible!

I'm sure there is a bmw wierd beard on here who could tell us at what rpm/boost level the insides become outsides.
but atleast being the 1.6, turbo options are cheap and plentiful. T25 or TD04, xr6 cooler and bam! Skids

Isn't this the same engine as used in the F1 cars in the golden era? Big turbo, mucho lag and flames on demand.
I remember BMW getting one of these in with the full M tech body kit, M3 wheels and the fucking hidious colour coded interior, that bright green they did. Couldn't miss it, thankfuck it only lasted a week before they shifted it.

Nah, the m10's were 1.8 iirc.

But yes, bmw used ex road car (100,000km +) 4 bangers as the base for their f1 screamer/hand grenade engines.

                    God I miss those things.

That was way back in the 70s-80s though right? And was just the block because they thought they were better "run in" or something.

correct. De stressed internals or some such.

interesting... how does it compare to an M40? I know a bit about M10's (the M10B20 in my E21 was rebuilt a few years ago)

heh. M10 swap... i mean, they're both SOHC 4cyl's, right? and the compacts suspension is half from an E30 anyway!

I thought the E36 compact was basically an E30 with an E36 nose cone.
