    Re the new rad.
Put a rad filter in. The old cast iron blocks can put a lot of crap into the rad.

US Ford. Mustang had a wing design with the top edge longer than the bottom on all automatic models 64-70.

I'm thinking 1966 T-Bird or full sized as it had a rectangular pad but with a metal frame around it.

Edit - The Power disk brake metal badge wasn't on the 1966 t Bird, hmmm, tough one. I've only seen it on 1969/1970 Fords, but with a different pad. The Chrysler ones were different again.

XA Falcon had one quite similar to that.

Rarespares had the wider plain rubber rectangle one so got that. Has found rubber set for the dimmer on floor. Also screwed the throttle pedal thru floor matt.

Been doing little odds and ends like detailing the engine bay and interior.

Found exact creamy white paint at hobby shop. So did all the touch-ups Inc steering wheel. Brown is a little off but no more chips at least.

The weeping from carb, rocker cover and trans pan stopped when I tightened screws/bolts. Lols

Gave it an oil service as well.

          Finally got some more pics

The ever so minor swirl marks in paint from car covers or using dry rags to clean. Called a few places to give it a proper paint correction. Too many sharp edges that I will get the pro to do it

            Looking good.

Are you sure you can resit the temptation to swap out the old six?

Happy to see you're enjoying it. Must be a very different mind set compared to the ute.

OK, so the cool kids on PF have gone from VR/VS utes to XM/XP Coupes.

Fuck I need to get with the program around you youngsters.

                            I totally get this.
While it's great to be able to blaze the treads at 100k/hr, cruising along in something old and completely stock can be far more satisfying than worryng about what's going to break next and if you'll make it home.

Dropped the original 2 core radiator to my usual rad place. $770 cash and need to wait while adrad actually make it. The new 3 core in at the moment you can't run the factory fan off the water pump and need to use a thermofan. I want to keep it original, so will sell the 3 core so recoup some of the cost.

Went back to hobby store to get some red touch-up paint to tidy up the rocker cover and air filter. Cleaned them up

Also, swapped out the cracked fuse hose leaving the fuel tank. Despite using brake line clamps on the old and new hose, I still got fuel down my arms and in my eyes. Who new 98 would sting so much. Lol.

Very cool Coupe indeed, but how cool would it be with a quad webered high compression 289 with a top loader?
