The whole thing ain't big. Lots of "media" saying it's the replacement for the Focus in the US

It's as long as a Falcon wagon, so kinda big for a car, but small for a 'truck'.

So not quite ute, but close enough, a mate has just got a MU-X. How are the 4JJ1s for tuning? Presume it’s the same setup as the D-Max.

I see Nissan has gone the massive grille route, which now makes...all of them? with big stupid grilles. Previously the best looker IMO. I was just looking at pricing out of interest when I was looking for that pic, $43k for a base dual cab, jesus christ.

The Hilux starts at $55k before you get it on the road. They should sell some. Look very yanky IMHO

Anyone wants a replacement work ute but doesn't need 4WD, Isuzu are doing D-Max SX High ride, manual only, for under 30k. Even less if you want to buy your own tray. Outstanding price considering the auto model is still selling for like 10k more.

Madhatr Ive just had the pleasure of dealing with both the Isuzu D-Max and Mazda BT50 sales guys and Isuzu is holding the line re pricing/ no discounts full RRP ( shortage of models...... ships not in til Oct/Nov, 200 pre sold etc, might not have stock if you wait .....) .

Mazda guys heaps easier to deal with got them to price match an Auto Freestyle Cab 4x4 with their current Manual sale. They also threw in a better spec Tradie Bocar aluminium tray, Towpack and and rubber mats. Saved about $7K off RRP.

They have stock of manual sx's. They stopped selling them last model, auto only, then reintroduced them again and they havent been selling. Hence the big discount.

Had a 4 week old GWM Cannon on the hook today. Boiled it's battery and looks to have killed all it's electronics. Not bad for a car with 2600km. It's actually a shame as on paper they look to be a good thing. Roomy cabin, lots of kit, quiet engine and look pretty good. But the whole lucky dip if you get one that works longer than a week, and if the dealer is able to offer support, is a massive turn off. Owner was talking to the dealer when I arrived and they were already arranging to transport it to their other workshop which actually has the scan tool, GWM apprarently don't supply dealers with all the special tools needed.

GWM will be like every other franchise importer and demand the dealers buy the special tools. In Canberra the typical dealer only has one of of all the cool things despite running 2 or 3 workshops around town. Janrule had that shit optimised so cars were shuffling all around the ACT because they were too tight to have more than one “thing”
