The prices that people are getting for even 4ac powered, or should i say under powered and non LSD cars is silly.
I'm just waiting for takumi to buy a FC or R32 and my investments might pay off.

There are some dodgy characters on that ae86 driving club site, more so 16 year old kids I think.

There are cars for sale for like 3k, and they reply with "choice car bro, if only I had 2k more".

If you want a car thats still popular but a fuckload cheaper, and will drift just as well ( ), go for a KE70. cheap parts, cheap to buy, plenty still around.. and its not hard to make them look better than a AE

I reckon it's worth closer to about $5,000 or so myself, but I'm not really in touch with the market.

But like mentioned above, get an AE-70 as they have the same chassis, they just don't look quite as good.
An AE-70 will have the right bit to fit a 4AGE with little trouble.

a car is worth whatever you want to pay.

if you want to buy one with some rust and a tired engine etc, then you can buy one cheaper.

although 8K seems steep, if the car is fresh and drives like new.. what more could you want?

if you are after a shitter than you need to cut the rust out of and buy new driveline etc, then look elsewhere....

if you think they are expensive in AUs, you have no idea sssssikbro, here, they are for sale up to, and over, $50K.... aussie dollars.

you could expect to get a stock shitter which is able to be registered (which is admittedly well above the condition of an aussie car) for about $6-10K...
