Well, it will make much more power as it is, with the standard crank. It was turned down cause we were scared of heat, so it was only running 1 bar of boost & making 380ish rwkw. It can run another 1/2 a bar & make 440 or so now that we are confident the heat is ok...as long as the undertray doesnt fall off!!!

Well, for me its a clutch...Simon has said that he will do the rebuild for nothing. Hot tip though, the clutch that it needs with new flywheel & all is around $4k

So what's it up to now?

          8,000 km's, 3 motors, 2 clutches, and a gearbox?

I reckon the landrover must be starting to actually look reliable.

              Well...err not quite. 8000kms

1 engine because somehow a screw dropped in it & chewed it to bits...so no cost to me. Then this one that failed only because of the clutch.

This is the first clutch in it.

Gearbox was a t5 & was still working fine, just a bit noisey...replaced before it broke.

So actually, a clutch has failed...thats the only real failure.

Edo, as he is bigger than Phee and so can push harder.

But seriously ..... congrats on having a run in the car dude. Feels good doesn't it?

Umm, it felt awkward & a bit spastic to be honest...possibly my worst driving ever.

Sounds like all the fords with new shiney engines are going bang at the track. Refer to my slightly less expensive escapades in the tech forum.

Bad news about the engine, that's just plain bad luck.

I reckon you need to do track days every few months at least to keep the skills up.

                              Hire car ftw?
