Both good, so is coppercote, pick 1 & use it - no probs.
(I use hylomar, only because it's the easiest for me to get)

          Cheers

Where can i find hylomar?..... Local Repco?.

Might look at using it as well in the future, although i've never had any problems in the past a little bit of extra insurance is not a bad thing

+1 for hylomar because it's not copper.
Copper gaskets are a bastard, I've never had a car with one but I did a bit of research and spoke with my cousin (drag car cousin, Sir Rev, not dropkick one :D)about it and unless it's made and fitted 100% correct you will have drama.
That said I don't know anything about hylomar so it could be gheyer then a bus full of queens on the way to a gaol.

If the block and head are o-ringed then it's fine to use copper, otherwise it might not seal 100%. That's what i've been told anyway.

Repco have it sometimes its not on show you just have to ask at the counter. Get a spraycan they also make a brush on option.

The thread/poll is referring to VHT Copper Gasket (a spray on adhesive/sealant) as opposed a copper head gasket.

I bought Hylomar off the shelf at Repco. Wasn't a successful solution to my application, which was basically a result of poor design/fabrication that no amount of spray on sealant was going to fix.
Put that in your pipe and smoke it

Used Hylomar spray on headgaskets for years and never had a prob. Cept when I worked at Honda and we used proper Honda metal headgaskets (they are the schnit!).

Just a note, I only recommend using a sealant on MLS or copper gaskets, composition gaskets should be fitted dry.
('cept the real old style composition gaskets - but no-one uses them unless there is no other choice)
Copper head gaskets are shit in 95% of applications, they are a poor stop gap solution that will almost always give trouble & should be avoided if at all possible.

                            Cheers

Yes i was referring to both as a spray on aerosol product , i use them regardless of manufacturers instructions , as someone said , just as insurance.

Ohh btw both products can be obtained from Coventry Auto Parts
I personally hate repco , never buy anything off them ...
