I can see why AJ is keen, when you seriously look at it. One could save, save and save for their dream Porka or Fezza, and unless you've struck it mega rich you'll put your lifestyle worst off in ownership.

Some people would be wise even if you had the coin to buy one, to just rent one instead when you feel the need. Then return it with piece of mind needn't worrying about the running cost, insurance, service, maintenance etc. Not to forget security and the paranoya of where to park and getting it nicked.

Jump back into your Prius and drive away knowing how much you could save between the next time you have the urge again.
