If you don't think you need a 6 car garage for 1 car, then you really should consider buying 5 more cars.
Your theories intrigue me and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter

How long are you "storing" it there?

Get some second hand lino. Dig 4 holes and fit 4 poles into the holes, you could cover a Rolls, depends on your goals, grass dead so no bowls, say Hi to your old's........anywho get a sunshade sail between the poles.....Done
I own a two and a half litre Commodore

So, to recap, your dad wants to park a rusty shitheap in the shed, while your immaculate looking XY turns into a rusty shitheap? Buy it off him for 500 bucks and drive it into a swamp.

        Or Move.

Thats a farkin tidy lookin car! Dont let it rust out in the weather. Ask around some mates/their mates/anyone you can and see if someone has a warehouse or something that you can store it in for minimal $$. Kennards etc are fairly pricey but you may get lucky and find someone who has more room than they need.

As for insurance, why isnt it insured and how often do you drive it? Shannons (and i assume vigil and all other specialist insurers) have limited use policies if you drive <8000kms or so a year, or if you dont drive it you can have laid up insurance. I pay about $800/yr for a VC Brock replica with the limited use shannons policy.... Vigil rekon they can do it cheaper (but I havent bothered getting a full quote from them yet) and NRMA have quoted $400ish for their specialist insurance people (but not going with nrma because my preferred repairers wont touch NRMA jobs now)

The problem with insurance is the car is too modified for anyones liking and me being <25.

I think I will have to go and check out these super cheap thingy's.

I reckon supercheap thingy + sheets and quilt + car cover + tarp on ground should keep it from turning into a rusty shit heap.

                Thanks for your help guys.

PS If anyone knows of a cheap starlet I'm willing to swap this + cash their way for one

If you want to sell it PM me. My old man had a GT many moons ago and is still kicking himself that he sold it. He'd be happy with that as a weekend cruiser now that his Customline is gone...

Storage places want a fortune to keep cars. My local storage places all quoted around $450 a month to keep a car and thats just in an undercover spot inside the storage place not a lockup garage. Their excuse "oh its dangerous goods because of the fuel in the tank".

Possibly. I came home one day and it wasn't there any more. Maybe Guido sold it for food&beer money.

Bermo - that would be an even better idea. Store it next to a fiat and it's sure to stay rust free.

Shannons and vigil wont care how many mods it has as long as its legal. They will need ya to garage it though so that ideas only good if you get a garage. You may need to call up a couple of times being <25, I got lucky and they accepted me 1st call but heard from a fair few other <25yo guys that shannons wouldnt touch em, but then after a few calls they got the ok (just gotta get on the phone with someone who picks that youre an enthusiast)
