As it turns out I am taking a large chunk of January off to do some car stuff (SoD and Porka).

Might just take you up on that offer

    cheers

Just go find a KE30 or KE55 and go from there

sounds good mate... I'll bring the chips and the beers... :p..

Actually -you got time for a pre chrimbo beer or two?? it'd be remiss to finish the year without a quiet one at West Ryde.. :D..

(knowing my luck, I'll get a call in the next week and some bugger will want me to go work for them starting 8th of Jan or something.. GRRR)...

        Rowds

KE30 FTW!!!! Bro used to set top 3 VCRS stage times in his 1300cc one (but he now has set top 5 ARC stage times so.....). And it cost next to nothing to run.

As said - get a jap 2wd that someone else has built

I would suggest RWD if you are looking at cheaper end (FWDs are very good, but don't buy a real cheap one). They are also much easier to fix and troubleshoot. And don't buy an Escort. Corolla or Datto FTW!

Also - get something that you can fix! No point having a rally car if you can't work out which way to turn the spanner (they are a great way to learn mechanical skills)
