      I just didnt like it...
A few years back we seriously looked at buying a superkart with two 250 gp bike engines to try and win the Aus Hillclimb championship. Peter did Formula Ford for years and we were running the Formula Atlantic with a supercharged 2 litre cosworth. We arranged to drive the car and hired oran park for it. He did about three laps and came in and said "Nup, can't stand it."

I think they are an amazing weapon, but you have to be prepared to drive well beyond sensible in terms of vibration, getting airborne over bumps, and just sheer spasticness :D

That might be a good ratio for the Creek, but you reckon it would work at PI? Would have thought you'd hit the limiter by the end of the straight.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe, and from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip-malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moments lost in time; gone like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die.

                  So whats the problem?

:p I wouldn't imagine they would be much fun off a properly prepped circuit, but spasticness FTW

Historics are not changing at all a "new" class is being started which is basically historic sports sedans and basically what improved production racing was back in the 60's/70's. You must sign onto at the start of the season for the whole season and turn upto all events (basically the same as what happens with the core group in the Biante series)

Na, Nb, and Nc will still exist for the state level guys and nothing is stopping them from signing upto the "new" class and series which allows a little more understanding in the rules than the old fart historic commision which expect historics to parade around in regularity "races". Parts are getting rare and just under engineered as nobody expected them to be used the way they are in historics (not just the Nc cars but the gearboxs in HQs etc)

I have to say that was a fuck up and stemmed from one bad ruling many moons ago by the current commision

I think the Biante will implode due to the massive costs of trying to stay competitive against the likes of Stubber and Co. Still, seeing those old Mustangs getting sideways gets the blood pumpin....

And who is to say Biante will have the naming rights to the series next year

I heard Stubber will be building a new car for 2008 - and racing the Torrie in the US a lot more in 2007. Still plenty of big bucks cars other than Stubber's though.

                              Cal.

narr, still look the way they do now, but more freedom under the skin to make the cars more reliable eg a standard replacement disc/caliper (everyone runs the corvett caliper anyway or the kelsey hayse big caliper from the lincons is really the only other choice) and HQs can run a 12 bolt vs the crappy aussie 10 bolt in them now which breaks every second weekend, I can remove rebuilt and refit a diff in under 30mins and other stuff along those lines.

There are a few new cars getting build by few of the regulars and some new blood
