narr, still look the way they do now, but more freedom under the skin to make the cars more reliable eg a standard replacement disc/caliper (everyone runs the corvett caliper anyway or the kelsey hayse big caliper from the lincons is really the only other choice) and HQs can run a 12 bolt vs the crappy aussie 10 bolt in them now which breaks every second weekend, I can remove rebuilt and refit a diff in under 30mins and other stuff along those lines.


There are a few new cars getting build by few of the regulars and some new blood

so under these new rules, would cars with oil pump problems (eg hemi 6 chryslers) be able to run an external oil pump or something to that affect?

Sorry I haven't seen the rules and don't know any particulars only know what they want to do with these new freedoms outside of the 5th category.

I hope to see a copy very soon as we are about to start work to rebuild our car

Sports Sedans are the shit

sports sedans are great!, but they tend to cost heaps(?) and don't seem so popular any more do they get many entries on state level? do you need space frame and hewland to be competitive?

funny... cos the other series with identical running gear and different bodies gets heaps of TV coverage

edit... the car i'd like to build doesn't fit into any category except SS, which is annoying since they are only minor changes, but exclude it from historics and IP etc... and i don't feel like spending 100K to be competitive

is this a local version of "the 24 hours of le mons"? a couple of us are talking about doing this, may even call it a regularity to avoid the need for a cage (and expense), probably run at winton

it's nowhere near as dangerous as it may look.

i went all out one year racing rotax (2x everything, 1x over to eastern creek for nationals, 30+ race meetings localy) and it ended up costing under 40k for that year and I won 1 state title, podiumed another and came 4th at the nationals.
