your WRX must have only been in 3 wheel drive mode when it looped itself on the skidpan

The problem with you becoming such a defender of the defenders is that when shit goes wrong you won't tell us, and that ruins our fun.

I thought that way too until a guy that was pretty high up in JRA (when it was known as Jag Rover Aust) parts side of things were telling me you couldn't buy/remove a door for an army truck from car to car and expect it to fit. You actually had to quote the VIN to get the exact bits to fit properly as they wouldn't fit properly....

Not calling you a liar or anything, but you really think they have measured every door / angle from every one built ? ... thats the only way I think the above statment could be true .. :O

Well, there's a blueprint of every part made for the trucks... I'd really like to not believe this but this was one of the problems he was facing when supplying parts to the military.

I'm just quoting what he told me and he's not one to BS about things. Of course things might have changed since then. I don't think JRA has existed for many many years.

They asked all owners of them to pull the sump and oil pump off to check they loctited it together?

Sounds like a rock solid organisation to me. Good luck!

Nah .. 14 engines went bust in the world in the last 2 years, they tracked it back to some engines NOT getting loctite in the bolt that holds the chain on the oil pump.

Seeing MINE was out of warranty, I descided to take THERE advice to check it...

Mine was fine, and I was going a service on it anyway, so it was not an overly huge job.

Not like Holden, ford, toyota etc etc do not have issues... that are all resolved in warranty, but as with mine, if they were out of warranty, then they do not give a rats.
