My number 1 drive would be the local Hungry Jacks drive thru, closely followed by McDonalds and the bottleo.

Don’t mind Mt glorious, Nebo and Mee as well.... Cootha is good too, but risky.

The Road up to O'Reilleys is great at night if you're suitably equipped with extra Lights. During the day on weekends there are too many people, the same as Lyons Road, Mt Mee, Mt Glorious and Mt Cootha.

If you have a Rally Car or 4X4 there is Duck Creek Road that junctions from half way up the mountain and leads back down the mountain.

I really enjoy night driving when you're familliar with the roads......less cars and you can see on-coming vehicles for miles.

              Lyons (lions) Rd hey.

Someone PM me some directions? Or is it easy to find on whereis etc?

              Cheers

I'd have to agree with the night driving too, many stupid things done over nebo at night!!

I've found a rd in whereis between beaudesert and boonah which looks good that goes over mt Joyce...is this it. Attached is the map.

Yeah that's it. I seem to remember a couple of Pugs showing the rest the way on a PF run back from Byron a few years ago.

It used to be mostly dirt, but it was a great way to head down for Grafton Hillclimb on June Long Weekend every year.

One of the QRC Rally Championship contenders, Wayne Hoy used to get from Coffs to Brisbane in 3 1/2 Hours....never knew quite how he made it that quickly... in a Nissan Van(with Z Car engine) towing GTi-R. He must Have 'Big Kahuna's' is all I can say!

You must have spent that to run the Phillip Island event. And you'd have to get close to the amount of drive time in that event (and race tracks must get boring after the first 5 laps or so :p)

Jinker Track - Bunya Rd - ClearMountain Rd - Dayboro - Mt Mee - Woodford - Bellthorpe Range - Reesville loop.

Also a different way up to Mt Mee via Campbell Pocket Rd then a loop on Delaney Creek Road (I think) is top fun. A bit of dirt here and a few creek crossings, but great fun!

Out west way, there is always Ma Ma Creek Rd. But the road from Toowoomba to Gatton via Withcott is more fun. Road from Esk to Hampton is also very cool.

                            Personal favourite:

Start by heading down Waterworks Road. Go up over Mt Nebo & Mt Glorious to the T-Intersection at the far end for a bit of a regroup. Head back in the other direction and just after Glorious there's a turnoff to Samford.

Take that and head down the twisties, then when you get to the servo go left. You'll end up in Dayboro, go right at the (good for lunch) pub and then left shortly after at the swimming pool and follow the road up over Mt Mee. You'll eventually come out at D'Aguliar, where you turn left and then after a few kms on the highway you turn right a little after Woodford(e?). Head up here for a while and just after the twisties start turn left to Maleny, it's called Stanley River Road.

[At this point a small detour is Peachester, skip that turnoff and keep going for about 5 minutes and you'll be in heaven. Do a few laps then come back to Stanley River Road].

Follow that all the way to the end and you're in Maleny. Go left to keep going on the run, but you may want to stop in the township for drinks/lunch. Some awesome food available there.

Okay, so you've gone left, you'll head through more cool roads, past Connondale and into Kilcoy. Lunch at the pub there is good and fairly cheap. Then, keep heading through Kilcoy and stay on the main road (note there's a turnoff to the left with more cool roads, explore this yourself if you like), then after about 1km there's a turnoff to Obi-Obi (might be signed Mapleton?) Anyway it's a fecking cool bit of road and NOT TO BE MISSED. It's one-way and if you want to do a u-ie and have another go, note that the return side is gravel.

Anyway, once you've had your fill of Obi-Obi laps, you'll get to Mapleton and Turn right. Follow that and you'll end up at a T-Intersection where you can either go left to the Highway for an easy route home, or right to Maleny again and then back the way you came.

AWESOME day, I highly recommend it.

                                This is sweet feedback.

Keen to check a lot of these places out.

I'm guessing it would be worth getting some 2way radios if you were to go with a few mates and stick them in each car. - that way leader can signal if anything is coming in front (ie, oncoming traffic or sharp hairpin) and the last person can tell the rest if he's got a flat or gone of a cliff etc...

probably would need some range though.
