        One of my mates entrusted me to sell his 95 SAAB convertable for him as he left and went back home to England. I still have it here, and get a call about once every 3 months about it. Its not overpriced and it has no engine damage e.g it is in pretty good condition.
        He left in 2005.
        oh and he has decided to come back here in Jan 08, i'm pretty sure his car will still be here for him when he gets here :D
        So if he is thinking of buying to re-sell, think again. You can't sell these fuckers.

                  I used to work on Saabs. Pretty much anything you need to do to them requires the drivers side front wheel and inner guard liner coming off.

                  Cruise into a Saab dealership and ask how much a timing belt changeover is and smile to yourself on the way out when you realise how much money you'll be saving by not buying one of these shitheaps.

                        Born and raised a couple of Km from both the Saab and the Volvo factories, I have a lot of experience with Saabs, best advice to a potential buyer is not to buy one. They are a load of crap, worlds weakest gearboxes etc. The turbos are good with a chip tune for some straightline highway racing that's until the gearbox shatters into a million pieces. From a standing still they suck, if the road turns it sucks, good assheaters in the seats though but you wouldn't find any use for that here down-under anyhow.

                        Oh and i forgot is a newer turbomodel there's like a 50% chance the engine will seize, they totally messed up the crankhouse ventilation so the oil get's stuck in the channels...

                        Stay away!

                              If that isn't enough to make any potential buyers run and hide, I don't know what is. This post should be posted on automotive forums worldwide, Saab should fold up the car operation, and stick to making airplanes or whatever else it is they do...

                                best way to check for bent valves would be look at them with engine sliced into cross sections, just to be sure.
                                probably wouldn't hurt to do it still in the car, cut the whole thing into cross section pieces for better viewing, and make the thing worth more than a running one
