    VG20DET?
    VG30DET with VG20DET covers?

Keeping in the family, I know the capacity might fark it all up, but those 3.2 V6 Rodeo's go well for what they are, would do impressive skids in a gemini..
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe, and from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip-malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moments lost in time; gone like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die.

theres a guy on the ozgemini forum puting the 3.5 version of the rodeo engine in a gemini... (obviously over the legal capasity, but he is looking to go down the ICV rout to get it legal)

i was looking at the vg20et when i started my project, but parts were rarer then then fj20 at the time.

what about the 2L v6 mitsubitchi engine... arnt they up around 200hp n/a ???

have seen and raced against a Gemini panelvan with a Chev 350 in it. Had a 3spd auto in it (no idea what type)

Lets just say that by the time the thing stopped going up the road sideways and managed to get traction I was impressed.

What parts would be necessary though? Surely just upgrade the turbo, 160/170rwkw or so should be doable without changing much, if anything?
A lot of RB20DET stuff would interchange yes/no?

          Hmm, VQ25DE + T ?

                ever driven one??

they were built as something to be a small family car which they did.
they are a great little car first car to ever offer a 5spd manual.

the motor is a small truck motor and does what is required.

If you ever get the chance to Drive a zz/r or a ZZ/t you will enjoy it.

the most problem bit is the front brakes small solid rotors FTL!!!

the diff is a small B/W and six cyl salisbury and take more hammering than a commodore and torana.

Teejay your more than welcome to drive both of my gemini's.

But seriously, what like? CAS, AFM, things like that?

VG20ET - importers would give things like that away.

ive owned 9 geminis. including a worked 1800cc that would dust injected xfs and vns ( back in the day )

of the 33 or so cars ive owned, the geminis were amongst the most relliable. the only things i dont like about them are rust, water leaks amd the torque tube setup. im hard on cars, i have just about fucked the jazz lol.... and the geminis refused to die, no matter how much i brained them!

They are Great cars if you get a good one. funny thing is, if i went a ke70 corolla, id cop less shit, and the gems are better cars ( oh noes! ).

i dont want to go turbo.i have owned 2 turbo cars and wont own another one! fuckin nightmares, 2.6 rodeo motor might be the way to go? or 2.6 mitsu with big cam, and twin webers

2.6 rodeo would bolt in to stock mounts so thats a world of pain avoided.. With big cams, throttle bodies, headwork, big overbore, ultralight flywheel, extractors, etc etc it would have the power. Still leaves you with springs, shocks, swaybars, balljoints, bushes, brakes (upgrade? VT+ front, live axle commodore rear?), fuelling, rust, paint and the interior.

Edit: To summarise, you have to be aware that you're going to have to dump $3k-$4k just sorting out those items which will be worn out, which is.... *everything* So its really just a gemini shaped box to put an expensive pile of new parts into. Still a better vehicle than a KE70 mind you, that said, KE70s have better rear suspension
Don't worry, thats just the self-preservation instinct, in my experience you can safely ignore it.

Went very very well, especially with the Crow Stage 3 cam kit.

The diff lasted forever, T700's were another story.
Structural integrity was an issue at times.
That last bit reminds me of GSRman's old Gemmy wagon. It was something I suspect was lacking in that car.
