he only fits in cos it's a non sunroof model, as was the one he owned (still for sale down here for $22,500). The OEM sunroof takes a few inches outta the headroom, hence I got a Spec S without the sunroof so I can fit in (I'm 6'5")1998 NB MX5

To be purely practical ... I think that, unless Nissan (or hell, anyone) brings out a sub-WRX-priced RWD 2dr, the S15 should hold it's value pretty well. I mean, aren't we talking about a car which was $40k 7 years ago, and people are saying you "should" get change from $35k?
It's 'cos there hasn't really been anything that fills the niche since, and I haven't read a lot about anything similar arriving in the near future at least.Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

I bought mine 18 months ago for $33k with 32,000km....one elderly owner, never on boost, kinda dealio.
So I just clicked over 115,000km (daily work driven vehicle) and its prolly only worth $24k (my mate owns simon's old one which has 130,000km on it and got dropped another $500 tonight, to $22k even) but still a 50% residual after 6 years is pretty good.1998 NB MX5

you'll get a nice Series 2, maybe series 3 R33 GTR for $35k
AWD and RWD in one car ftw?
oh yeah, buy a liberty. If awd is "boring" you need more powah.Originally posted by BosshoggettIf your planing to drive this on the road and enjoy it, id suggest a second opinion, someone with a history in Australian Rally or Fink River . If your just playing dyno comps. Then ok

Im voting for Lancer EVO7 (or 6/6.5 would be fine too) - They are the closest thing to a rally car you can buy for the road therefore would be spot on for George
. Its also something different/step from the Subaru.
Since George is being stubborn and says he wants RWD then maybe a R34 GT-R or maybe a Stagea turbo (though some are awd). Some of them even have VVT
Actualy stratch that idea, screw the idea of 2.5L six and VVT, instead just get 4L turbo 6, GT40 turbo dual VVT and a 6speed heavy duty (George proof) gearbox. That would be the BA MK2 XR6T. Yes its a big car but compared to the liberty its not that much bigger and its prety similar to Supra's, Skylines ect.
Don't get a S15 - they are really a posers version of the S14. Actualy if you want a 200SX then get Edo to try and track down a 200SX-R - im sure there would be one in your price range now or nizpro can knock one up from old parts that they find out the back. Make sure you lock them into a fixed price deal with a warranty ect - that would be perfect.
