    if you search around i have seen some at that price.

    it would have been 6 months since i saw one at that price.

    if you want to go really cheap, get a 2jzge run it on methanol, just like rocco, problem sovled.

      Yeah i got a late model 2jzgte (with vac brake banjo bolt) for $2500 with 80,000km, auto and ECU.

      They are out there, just got to look (and pounce when they come up).

              i'd guess <1150 without tray - but it would bag with the 4y-auto with the tray off... even less if it was a single cab i'd recon...

              At the time i was doing the conversion a 2J cut was $6,500+ and i would have had to go single at the same time..
              This is a post i wrote by mistake, which is nice...

                So would it be better off doing a 1jz front cut/engine pack for 1500 and then throwing a 2jzge bottom end in later????

                Can you get those cheap ebay single manifolds for the 1j?

                  A: you could.. but im pretty skeptical of the whole non gte thing.. oil squirters and such.. either go 2J or don't..


                  seriously, as much as every now and then i want a 2j in mine.. without 4-linking it and stuff, it wouldn't be able to use the power it would have with the 1j + with a reasonable sized single..

                  B: doesn't really matter, don't think they would fit.

                      inner guard i'd recon.. that said, ive never had the engine in there with the turbos etc off.
