Yep - bloke on fordforums got it done.

      http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...light=lpg+xr6t

if you cannot read it / need to login the basics are:

      Emissions approved VSI kit.
Used std ECU+Gas ECU (basically a signal convertor I guess)
Injectors capable of 87.5hp each (525 from 6)
      10rwkw more in std tune.

Anything from 11.7 to 14.8(but he said he gave it a bit of poke during that drive) but generally arount the 12-13l/100 judging by the dozen or so economy figures he has give so far.

cost him 4k - but he was the test dummy, they think it will cost an extra $500 now they have done it once and sorted out the cost of the whole thing.

Where does the LPG tank go?

Where the spare used to be. You either lose the spare and go instant repair kit or run a wheel on the back like a real tough 4wd does.

of course this only applies when the diesel vehicle of choice is greatly more expensive than a petrol one.
The difference in price between a TD LR3 and a petrol LR3 looks to be in the region of $10K. That's ALOT of fuel.

                      Truth!

There is very good reasons why just about everyone with your set of requirements gets the Landbruiser.

Also, because of that, resale won't suck.

Come on Cookie you know PF are not interested in how they drive.
                          We just talk about cars.
Everyone knows they are shit cause they read it on the intraweb.

I have a series one (that was bought as a run out).
                          It has been very reliable.
Constant four wheel is great for on road.

My father has had four of them.
He sells them and upgrades before they reach 100k.
He is a motor mechanic by trade and has always done this.

My only word of warning is that Land Rover service can be very expensive

Nah, but I was hopeing for a bit more of a rise than that....

If you can afford one, and the fuel to keep it going,
the Landbruiser V8 is the best thing I have ever towed a boat with.
