That 350 seems like a very thought out conversion with sound technical merit

A similar idea at the opposite end of sensibility. These Supra's actually perform well at their intended task.

Yes, it(the 20B one) is a cool car but it is not really a smart conversion and neither is the 350 pictured. Looks like they modelled the engine layout on an R31 Pinny.

the 20b one as mentioned does not have a 20b in it no more, it is now piston powered. I won't reveal any more secrets but it will be used as a daily, from now on.

If anyone follows d1, UEO the ae86 legend has given up the trueno for this year and has opted to go with a sr20 350z. Apparently it was chosen because of its similar characteristics of the ae86.

He must of thought that no cops would notice the roar of a 20B then get defected? I thought the 20B 350 was a cool car, but agree it was a shit idea due to being totally illegal and 100% obvious to cops. Besides that major oversite, it was cool

I was going to guess an RB26, but I wouldn't think anyone would be stupid enough to downgrade to another illegal engine with less potential than the legal offerings.

                          pfft to oversights!

do you think Simon cared when he put a 20B into an FD3S, strapped the worlds largest turbo to the side of it and cut the muthafucking skids around Melbourne whilst popping bigger flames than an oil rig?

NO! People who chuck 20B's into 350z's have daily drivers and enough shady contacts to keep avoiding or get out of things like defect notices.

This would seem to be the obvious upgrade choice to me. Aren't the new one's VK45's now though?

I just can't see how an SR20 could be an improvement to a VQ35.

                              cheaper when you bust it.
                              more aftermarket support.

as someone who did an sr20 i to a cefiro. I still stand by the conversion. 230 rwkw and 740 nm torque were a great package with only mild bolt on bits. my old car is still going strong 3 years later
