XT's are cool but they have a criminally undersized turbo(so do 2.5 WRX's). Please change it for something more approriate as soon as your warranty conscious allows.

Engineering for dummies. Increase engine capacity by 25%, increase turbo size by 0%. Make sense? Maybe for emissions purposes.
Leaves you with a LOT of scope though I suppose.

Sounds good, I'll tell them to jam it.

I've seen with some breathing mods, you can easily get 170awkw which is probably enough in that sort of car. I doubt I would ever bother changing turbos - went that route with the wrx and spent a fortune on fuel (what the fuck happened with that in the last year btw?!).

Steve the OEM TMIC is too small to push much higher than stock PSI thru.

              A TDO4 won't get you 170atw.
It will get you boost at 1500rpm and nothing after 3k rpm though.
It produces the numbers and it does them lazy and low in the rev range but that doesn't make it a good choice of turbo.
Potato in the tail pipe is a fitting description.

Pffft, paint protection......biggest rip off evar.

Give it a good coat of a polymer sealant and a few layers of caranauba wax.....better then any paint protection shite.

On the power upgrades, just looking at MRT (even though I'm not a huge fan, they do it reliably) and with zorst, air filter, and fiddle with puter, they are getting a bit over 160awkw on 13psi. Anything over that, and they're obviously changing the snail. I could live with that. Although the 206awkw kit would be nice, it's not supposed to be a drag car.

My parents bought a Brumby style Subaru Wagon new in 1979. Even that was fully galvanised way back then.

is the 160awkw quoted by MRT? If so its probably at the hubs which reads significantly higher than an AWD chassis dyno.

You can see it on the dyno sheet (listed in the parts kits).
