At the mo- it's a new (but stock) 5sp, im actually looking for a gt25mr box from the old (fwd) xr2 capri. That should keep things going for a while.

i asume the capri being based off a laser uses mazda b6 or bp series engines, if you can use them maybe try sourcing a BP NA FWD box off a a NA KF/H tx3 atleast a little bit of research like LSD and stronger 3rds has already been done.

Any particular reason you didnt go a B6 or BP conversion rather than working with the smaller 1500 (Single cam?) engine?

SirGoat- If i knew now what i knew then, i prob would have put in the b6t, or even a zetec? I guess i'm kinda luck there. I freq speak to a guy who put in a b6t, and had to do a shitload more work than i did. Even then, i suppose it's a little bit different, and the power seems ok from the little 1500 (For now)!....

unless you sell it for next to nothing your gonna be stuck with it forever. Dont think the market for heavily modded festivas is so great at the moment.

drive it..you cant exactly take it off the road and get a shitter to drive around cos ummm........

Just drive it mate- getting beaten off the lights by 6 cylinder falcons and then smoking the tyres will get boring after about a week, then buy something with an LS1 or 1jz in it.
