and both concrete planes sucked at flying (though Jamie's probably would have worked if he had've run it on the guide wire like Adam did).Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

I dispuite Adam's results. I could make a brick move at a 4:1 ratio of movement:fall if I pulled it fast enough with a string, and yes he did continue to pull the thing after the pin was released.
I also suspect Jamies plane might have gone a bit better if he didnt add so much weight like the NASA guy told him to. :p#WHOTW award winner #blessed #susanalbumparty

those glider tests were utterly useless. the POS one stalled straight after release and the flying wing pitched straight down. neither of the wankers thought to put even a controllable elevator on them so that they would actually pitch properly. the minutest fuckup on the tail fins would have totally sent them to shit - and it did. wankers.I am a Spinal and Sports Physio based in Flemington, Melbourne. Jamie's looked like it wasn't trimmed properly and/or the centre of gravity was too far forward. It may have done OK with more up elevator. One of the first things you do with an RC glider is trim it for a stable glide from a few hand launches. I guess you only get one go with concrete on concrete.Originally posted by Secohand both concrete planes sucked at flying (though Jamie's probably would have worked if he had've run it on the guide wire like Adam did).
They didn't really deduce a proper glide ratio for each because neither had time to stabilise in the glide - they should be looking for a straight line, not an arc. Admittedly that would have been harder for them to test but maybe they could have used radio control to deal with trim and a greater launch height would have helped.I reckon being free just scares some people shitless
