    VE Ute? Whens it Lob?

    Howdy,
Looking at a getting a new work ute and tossing it up between a xr6t or ss ute but wondering when the new ve dunnydore will be available? Any ideas?

In motor mag they said they are not sure if th VE ute will ever be produced - almost certainly not in the near future. Get the XT6T if you want to go fast anyway...

Yeah, I saw that today, find that pretty hard to believe really. An Aussie car company, that isn't going to have a utility. I mean, what the fuck?! Utes are Aussie as meat pies, Vegemite, uh, Hills Hoists etc. It just make sense to me. Does that mean they'll bring in some Yank tank, or is the Rodeo the new king...? Plenty of people need utes, can't see how there's not a market.

They buy Hiluxs. The posers buy SSs

Ute is definate, wagon is not.

Probably wont be a one tonner or crewcab though.

There is definately a VE ute coming , the article was written either as a smokey or that journo is a complete asshat .People have seen it and companies have tended for specific ute parts .
secondly the people urging to buy hiluxs don't drive utes ! they are a great work hack ,if your lugging big weights (750kg+)around all the time excellent option ,but bloody uncomfortable shit heaps day to day esp unladen/near unladen .Alot of people never understand this .
Both the XR6T and SS have small payloads (~600kg ).The SS has a better tray area, better designed and bigger payload .The Ford a roomier cabin with some space behind the seats.SS is a proper coupe ute ,the Falc a seperate tray pickup, you could go on day ,+'s & -'s each there own.End of the day i'd go the SS as i'm a hairy armed ,knuckledragging man ,but many of the other girls on here will disagree

I currently drive a hilux.... its great if I throw a tonne of dirt in the back but just lugging my gear to work in it drives me nuts. It rides worse than a forklift and probably steers on par with a retarded donkey thats juiced up on ice.
Would like to see a ve before I buy though.... probably not going to happen since I want something new before the end of the financial year
