    NSW Licence Question

    Hi,

Just a quick question about Demerit Points in NSW.

If i have 12 point, and i have lost 9 points over 3 offence.
    Lets say on 01/2007 - 11/2006 - 7/2005.
When do i get those points back? The RTA says "Driver will be suspended if you incur 12 demerit points within any 3 year period"
Does this mean i get all those points back 3 years after the last offence?
(9 points back on the 01/2010).
Or do you get points back from each offence 3 years after. So you would get back points on 01/2010 - 11/2009 - 07/2008.

I cant find any information on this anywhere and everyone says different things.

    Cheers,
    Scott

You get your points back 3 years from when they were deducted .. usually a few days after you pay the fine (not the date of the offense).

generally 3 years and 3 months give or take as people will wait till the last minute to pay the fine.
