        are you saying the R32 makes it a bit redundant?

          I woulda thought the GTI makes it redundant.

            I'd say the existance of the GTi makes the GT redundant - why would you bother releasing a slightly slower version of what is essentially the same car?

              it seems like its going to sit inbetween a standard golf and the GTI which seems kinda pointless to me but then again its the same thing an S pack Commodore does.
              yep

                how much is it?
                it'll need to be cheap when I can get a 3dr GTI drive away with leather for under 38k....

                  ar fuck

                  i'm reading this whole thing wrong

                  there's a GT = supercharged + turbocharged thing = 125kW

                  GTI = turbocharged = 147kW

                  R32 = n/a six = 184kW top of the tree

                  I doubt it'll be low $30k range but it'll need to be at this rate... too many models really...

                      Am I the only one who doesn't think "GT" and "Golf" necessarily go well together?

                        Well the model below the GTi starts at $33k. The GTi is under $40k. So this thing will be, what, $36k?

                              its VW's equiv to i-VTEC vs VTiR. a bit of performance and better fuel economy. POS in my ratings
