As others have said if you want the better driver's car, go the TE50 (manual with big brakes). Just factor in a few extra bucks for a mask to wear while you get into it.

The BA/BF may be many things but compared to the T3 they went backwards in chassis feel and dynamics. Not really an issue on the street so you may not care.

A mate of mine has a BAII GT-P and around Eastern Creek he couldn't crack it for a 2:02. He is a reasonably good driver who knows the track well and in his STi he does 1:54s. Stock WRXs will easily do close to and under 2:00 and I bet a TE50 would do to.

was beside a TE50 in traffic the other day. the exhaust note on them is just porn, much beter than BA/BF or the holden equivalent. it was a manual and i did notice the usual clunky gearbox sound from the gearbox
3 broken mitsubishi's (fuck im stupid)
        camry (daily)
        200 series cruiser (wifeys)

Shaynet on the ford forums did 1.54s around EC. Thats with exhaust and CAI. He has since installed AFR heads so will be interesting to see what sort of times he gets now. Firefox was doing 1:58s (same mods), but wasn't too happy about his front tyres.
