A HP2 is a $35k bike once you have a decent size tank & panniers on it...thats quite a bit.

I got off dirt bikes because they were causing me too much pain & switched to a road bike, you're getting off road bikes & switching to dirt for the same reason.
Maybe we should start thinking along the lines of - any bike = pain, deal with it & keep riding what ever the fuck you want.

Think of it like this. If Mitsubishi were to build a number of Dakar type pajeros, keeping the suspension & body, gearbox, putting in an engine of twice tha capacity but one that runs lazier detuned for road use, then you would have an equivalent car. It would cost about $4mill...which make $35k look a positive bargain.
