any one got a rough idea what an engine and box for a pajero say 1991-1996 would be worth?

diesel, or unleaded

also how hard is it to put a diesel motor in a paj that started life as a unleaded

A 2.8 turbo diesel engine is about $4500. Dunno how much the gearbox would be though sorry.
I wouldn't like to try the petrol to diesel swap, though no doubt it could be done if you had a complete donor car to grab all the bits off.
