Yay it's raining in Sydney again... watch the idiots come out in force who have NFI how to drive in rain or those that think parking lamps is going to make them extra visible.

Everytime I see someone driving with parkers on these days I think of a comment someone here once made about it and how pointless it is (ie just put your headlights on if you think you need to be more visible). Was omething along the lines of "why do people drive with parkers on and not full headlights - do they think they are saving electricity?" :D

I have to be super carefull in the wet, any more than 1/4 throttle & the tonner wants to swap ends - kinda frustrating, no fun till the roads are dry.

Haha I used to live in the big concrete place just down from there, used to happen every time it rained.

Poor besser block fence has copped a lot of hits, biggest problem is theres an underground power junction box in front of it that gets taken out most times.

I still fail to understand how you can have an accident in that spot.

I did a sinlge spinner past psi999's house yesterday arvo in my XR6 with the extra wet weather HP it gained. Unfortunately one of the 3 full jerry cans I had in the back seat (was on way home from servo) fell over mid fish tail and the lid wasn't on properly and now my car smells like petrol. It's a small price to pay for a skid though

rain is the only job i get out of a FWD car (ie. reef the hand brake half way thru a corner)

Generally I don't see the problem for myself - even in a turbo RWD cars judicious use of the throttle and gentle steering inputs will have you in a delicate sideways angle in corners.

However I see too many tools getting the tail sideways on an onramp onto a highway or on a right hand turn trying to beat traffic.

yeah true, a cop pulled me over weaving through traffic and he says to me, how fast were you going, i said the speed limit, its the other drivers that are slow. me and my mate in his lancer weaving thru traffic, it was fuken stupid, the limit is 80 and almost everyone is doin 60, then we get pulled over because everyone else was driving slow fuck that shits me
