that has to be the easiest engine conversion in history and they are top little motors. smallish, strong and cheap (well back in the day).

      Easiest 1600 turbo conversion ever.
      They were a good thing.

I disagree. They are a true cult classic, which will ensure that good examples are worth $$$ for years to come.

Gotta disagree, respectfully of course If you've seen what the multitude of turkeys, swedes and non-mechanically minded fuckwits used to do to S13/14/15's you'd be gobsmacked.

Stock motors will take upto 7500rpm and 20psi boost up the clacker all day everyday. For a street engine that was built to pass 90's emissions laws I reckon that's a pretty good deal.

I had a z18/20et with fj20 crank angle sensor using ca18det injectors running a microwreck - with a much bigger turbo - and that was good - probably a low 12 car
I also had a fj20, big injectors, new intercooler, t3/4 combo ran 11.1 (limiting factor being the IRS r200 rear end squat)
I'd go the sr20 for modern more pain free motoring to be honest. Bear in mind theyre 30+ year old car and as such they don't handle that well, will break down and will rust.
