Anyone remember the XY (at least I think it was) in Street Machine in the early nineties that the owner stretched the bonnet and fitted two clevos in nose to tail?

Wish our $350,000 trucks made that hourly rate.

*If the answer is yes, please forward me contact details.
You never had anything to do with a wedding did you? EVERYTHING costs $300 an hour.

Don't remember that one, but I do remember a HZ ute that had a motor in the tray as well. Think it had a 350 up front, and a 308 in the tray haha

Er that would have been Blobak (and Blobak II). Was a 253 in engine bay, which was purely to weigh the front of the car down and was fired up to act as starter motor for the 350 in the tray. 350 used a transaxle out of a Caddy Eldorado or something similar. Always thought it was a bit of a waste that he didn't take it further and make it AWD and twin engined. The bloody motor was there after all ... cmon mate JOIN THE DOTS.

Anyway, enough of that. Excelboy, do you happen to know the edition with the twin engined GT? I'd love to dig that out and have another look at it if you do. Can't honestly say I remember it, but I do have every issue of Street Machine from 1988 to current. ..... somewhere.
              Cheers, Richard

30K is a little out of my price range unfortunately. If I could have picked it up for <10K, I would have seriously thought about buying it

30K is getting up there for what it is!

Maybe 'someone' could add it to the "Winning Bid" Fleet?

i remember seeing a pic of that thing. i remember it was a fairly dodgy pic, and the car looked fairly average in it. dull red paint and black steel rims iirc. i think it was just in the front of the mag as one of those WTF pics that someone had sent in:w:
