Evo - I think the scene here is dying a little too. The IT boom is over and belts are being tightened. The lack of good tuneable turbo cars is a factor and also the focus on bling/chrome rims over speed. The restrictions on car ownership for p-platers will be an issue, as thats where a large part of the market with high disposable incomes comes from.
"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough horsepower." - Mark Donahue Penske Porsche 917
"In Japan we no give fark for Subaru" - Trust Japan Technical Director
(TM - AVENGE)
"You can never have enough power. I remember when we had Group B cars... THEN we had enough power!"
Juha Kankkunen - Rally of Argentina '02
I live in the country remember Troy, so city driving is ~2% of my time As Travers sad, my old WRX was not the best in traffic. But I did >60,000kms in that in just over 26 months.
At the end of the day I will drive both back to back when ready and pick from that.
Of course, with looks like that id rather drive a bowl of dicks.
agree ^^^
the new WRX looks like ass
i'd rather be like a fucked up lebbo in a bug eyed mess

I don't get this comment. The last real IT "boom" was nearly 10 years ago. IT salaries are still steadily increasing (10% last year) and there is a massive shortage in the highly skilled areas such as development and systems design/engineering.

The IT boom for "unskilled" tech monkeys has died (or moved to India). Anyone with skills is in the market at good rates.
Ie .net/java coder $800/day, IT PM $1000/day, Infrastructure specialist $1200/day. Sydney rates, so give or take couple of hundred bucks either way.

coders @ $800/day?!? there must be massively inflated compensation money for living in such a shithole city or something.
i can't see the car scene magically dying off due to a single industry anyway, it's not like all the cars already getting around suddenly get put in storage, somebody always owns them.
i reckon the 2003 model look pretty good (one after the bug eyed)
bit conservative for many though...
