Bloody oath - no loan car!! - I got a loan car for 2 days whie my car was being serviced - they knew full well I would be doing about 200km's+ in that period too. Your Holden Dealer is obviously lacking in the customer service area.

When I had the engine in my VXII SS rebuilt for piston slap the dealer refused to give me a loan car. I latter found out that they actually charged Holden for a loan car on my behalf. Very dodgy. One of numerous issues I had with this dealer. They also insisted i could not have a new engine. Turns out Holden would provide a new engine on request as long as the car was under 20,000kms which it was. Dealer made more money out of a rebuild though so a rebuild was what it got. My first rebuild at this same dealer did nothing. I changed dealers and got a new engine. Also all my other issues amazingly disappeared. I hate Holden dealers.

You bought the VE. Deal with it
Billion dollar abortions.Originally posted by jmacBut on seatbelts - I don't think they should be mandatory for adults, but for under 18s. I reckon make them mandatory up till then, and provide plenty of graphic evidence supporting their use to school age children, and then if they hit adulthood and don't choose to wear them, think of the future without these fucken idiots around...

I have driven some ve's with a few klms 20 000 + lately from the auctions. they are not standing up well I have had a close look at a brand new caprice as well, anal vehicle survey for a fussy customer I was very dissapointed not what I would be looking for in a new car, finish wise. the vz's on the other hand are looking the goods with 100 000 = klms showing may be the series 2 ve will be better. always issues with a fresh model.
pity about the loan car though I would be screaming

Of course. Smart people always wait for the series 2 update, or buy the last of the old model nice and cheap - the last ones are always the best.
VT= one of the biggest shitheaps on the planet
VZ = not so bad, for a commodore :p
I'd have a second hand VZ clubby over a new VE clubby, even for the same coin -> feel quicker to drive, feel better to drive, look better, and are quieter.Originally posted by jmacBut on seatbelts - I don't think they should be mandatory for adults, but for under 18s. I feel sorry for the OP and the problems he's having, and the dealer's response isn't good enough - but for those saying the VE is a POS, I've done 12,500km in mine and I've only had two minor niggles with it - front suspension knock (not properly tightened at the factory) and occasional weirdness with the info display on the dash (which I'll get looked at next service).
It would have been better if I hadn't had those problems, but you'd hardly consider that disastrous.
