I saw a Porka 959 today!!!

OMG OMG OMG!

I didn't think there were any in the country, but lo and behold, I'm cruising to work and saw this black Porsche and thought little of it, then did the biggest double take since the Watch Commander at Pearl Harbour in 1941. It was a fucking 959, complete with 80's wheels, and the big rear wing and all!

Damn near jizzed. Anyone else seen any rare/cool cars lately?

I dunno if it was a replica or not, my reactions suck. But fuck me it looked the part, slopey front to steep windscreen/a-pillar section, then back to those big rear guards and the wing, shit it looked good. For people who know Newcastle it was coming up Northcott drive, near Kotara.

Most 959 clones I've seen are actually based off 911s, so the sound wont give the game away.

theres been a few replicas for sale in the past year or so.. a white one and a black one.

the black one has shitty headlights... both based on 911's

An old friend of mine used to have a 959 replica based on a 911 going on 10 years ago, so there are a few around - some exceptional, some not so. His was dark blue or black...and was one of the better replicas.

There are also plenty of early 911's with much later body conversions (ie 1979 911 chassis with 1997 body, screen, lights interior etc) that are replicated so well that only a pure enthusiast could pick it.
