I'm well aware of that, but it still doesn't silence the voices ... or is that just the schizophrenia surfacing again?

In the end, logic has nothing to do with the lack of comfort factor really.

I have a mate who can scan that into CAD, then machine it out of billet alloy with a 5 axis cnc machine for you if you like. It will cost about $6k. When would you like it?

So how hard would it be to retro fit one of those plastic units to pre Gen5 engines?

(apart from having to fork out for a second AFM and associated wiring etc)
The liquid hydrogen turbopump is slightly larger than an automobile engine (weighing approximately 700 lb) and produces nearly 70,000 hp (52.2 MW).

Right because the top priority for the OEM nissan engineers is how much boost a manifold for a Naturally Aspirated motor can take.

Plastic will also weigh far far less.

I wouldn't worry about detail like that, its not going to make a lot of difference. What seems to be the message behind the introduction of the HR motor is that its stronger and will rev a bit more. The previous motor is not exactly renowned for its block strength, one of those (Darton?) sleeve inserts would be my first priority.

Then stick a big single turbo on it

Plastic intakes get old fast, 10 years would be about their life span.
I've seen intake less than 5 years old go all brittle on the mating face & bust off bolt bosses.
May be a great idea from an engineering perspective, but not so great for longevity.
Ya can't weld the fuckers either, so when they're fucked they're fucked - I wonder how long manufacturers will stock new ones - my bets on the 10 year minimum being used, bad luck if you own a 10+ year old car with a plastic intake & it dies.

Rollin/Ari/Mike, whatever - I think the idea of going to see Dale & getting a custom setup made sounds like the go.

Buy the ski boat engine sitting in Nizpro-Simon's boat, fit that to your Zed and be faster than God himself?

In terms of rumour and innuendo, Nizpro are pricey but fcuk their know their shit. APS = before Edo told us, I had heard that customer service was as good as your average telco i.e. crap and AVO? they been in the game longer than anyone else, but the jury is still out on them as I'm not too sure if Terry is still running the show down there after his MS (not the disease either), or whether he went to Jap-land to run their outfit over there.

so yeah Nizpro FTW for a loaded mofo such as yourself.

EDO just because you don't like Luxon doesn't mean his kits aren't good.

Autotech Engineering are APS resellers and NEVER have a problem with getting spares.

A mate of mine has had the HKS SC kit....he sold it and now has the HKS Single turbo kit. ( Very nice ) 3037 + a Big gate!

But the APS TT kit is still better. Everything bolts up like factory.

I'd steer well clear of APS like anyone else who has a clue. The point about taking your money then not wanting to know you is pretty close to the truth...
The older i get, the better i was...

Firstly you can't buy directly from APS for Aus spec cars.
So what does it matter if you like Peter or not?

Deal with Autotech and be happy
